Artist Statement
"I believe that art is a language, it should speak to the viewer, and the viewer in turn responds. It needs to communicate by evoking memories and feelings, emotions and understanding. The art I create is much like cooking, you have a variety of ingredients all with their own specific taste or degree of sweetness, hotness, sourness, but when they are blended together they become something else, they become a new flavor, a new experience. In the prints I take bits and pieces and combine them in such a way that they become something else, a different experience a new flavor a new language. Alone the model is a study of the human form, the imagery placed around him has no other meaning then to be what it is, but when juxtaposed next to each other a new feeling is created and new language is spoken. Each artist speaks in his or her own language and the challenge is to be understood. I believe that the work is as much about asking the questions as giving the answers."
